Pastor Stephen Chey
Pastor Stephen Chey
Stephen is a pastor with a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University (SNU) and continued his studies at MIT in mechanical engineering. While at MIT, he encountered Jesus and was baptized at a United Methodist Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
He worked for over a decade as an IT and supply chain management consultant, during which time he also served various ministries as a sermon translator. In 2012, he entered the M.Div. program at Torch Trinity Graduate University and was ordained as a pastor in 2018. He is currently a researcher in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at SNU and serves as the senior pastor for the English Ministry at New Creation Church.
